Middle Georgia baker whisks it all for a sweet comeback on Food Network’s Holiday Wars!

HOUSTON COUNTY, Ga. (WGXA) – A Middle Georgia baker is back in the national spotlight just in time for the holidays.

Cory Jones owns Sweet Evenlyn’s in historic downtown Perry. He opened the Carroll Street bakery in June of 2023. The store, named after his grandmother, offers home decor and some of Jones’ sweetest treats, including cookies and cupcakes with creative names to match the unique ingredients.

Jones appeared on Food Network’s Christmas Cookie Challenge in 2022. A year later, he’s back in the national spotlight.

Jones announced on Sweet Evenlyn’s Facebook page Monday that he’ll be competing in the upcoming season of Food Network’s Holiday Wars!

Jones calls Unadilla home, but between the small town in Dooly County and his store’s location in Perry, Jones believes regardless of how small of a town you come from you can do whatever you put your mind to.

He may not have walked away with the championship in 2022, but Jones admitted he couldn’t wait for his next chance at a victory this year.
